Where do you get your brass to reload 308?

Buy 1F, buy factory ammo and shoot? Brand? rem, win, ?

(I am not really into buying expensive brass right now like lapua). Might get there one day.

How is the surplus norinco brass? Any good to shoot in a rifle? or not recommended for a nice rifle?

Where you from brother? I can get you some good stuff real cheap. PM me

when I first bought my rem 700 in .308 I bought a bunch of winchester power point, used them to break the rifle in and then kept all the brass. I later purchased two bags of remington brass but haven't even touched them yet, I've still got plenty of reloads/winchester brass. I won't ever put any norinco through my remington but I love the .223 in my ar. thats just me though.

Lapua .308 is cheap. Considering locally Win bulk .308 is $40/50 pcs ($80/100) and Lapua is $90/100 factor in the quality difference and Hornady @ $50/50 pcs... Its a high volume seller so that's brings prices down. I paid 85 cents a piece, cheaper than Hornady!

I know a guy that has a few 5 gallon buckets of 1f brass, going to his town next week (opening of goose hunt).
Will ask to buy some.

Whats the price for 1f 308?

Ive always went with winchester brass, bought new 50/$28 or just bought ammo to plink with and used that after, that way its already fireformed to your chamber.

I don't know where you live but $81.95 is what we pay in Montreal for .308 Lapua brass.
I bought another box just yesterday.

I bought some 1F Norma off the EE, and use brass from a bag of DA I bought at a gun show for my M14's (it's my precious...).

The 308win should be one of the easiest brass to find.
Seems to be always available at gun shows, new or used.

Our site sponsors should have it and so should most of he big retailers.

Unless its a "precision" rifle lapua brass is not needed IMO. (I use Hornady in my precision rife)
$90/100 is almost $1 each... Factory ammo (comes with a brand new piece of brass) is about the same price, I'd buy factory ammo and save the brass.
I have never bought brass. Always saved my factory ammo's brass or collect it at the range if its a common round (.308 is common) eventually you will have a nice collection of same headstamp brass and a large collection of other brass.
