i need to pick up a couple of stocks - one for a mossy 500 and another for a savage.
where do you guys order your aftermarket stocks like hogue, aftermarket gun accessories, etc?

i am aware that i can do a google search and find a zillion american companies that sell aftermarket stocks, but id like to know where other canadians have actually successfully and painlessly ordered from and received the item with no suprises.

ive experienced several nightmares like $60 shipping +$40 UPS brokerage fee, so id rather order from some place another canuck has ordered from and recommends.

thanks!

Agreed. That Hogue stock on my 10/22 got very expensive indeed. I'd like to know an alternative source as well where us Canucks don't get (as) shafted...

I get my stuff from Western Gun Parts here in Edmonton. They're one of the oldest and most respected in the industry. Because they're right here, I've never had to have anything shipped by them, so I don't know what they're like to deal with if you're out of town.

If you're going to try them, be sure you know what you want. They're a trade supplier, not a retailer - they don't suffer fools lightly. Know what you want before you dial.
