Where do you reload?

I go to the basement where I reload! Does anyone use the garage and if so how is it with the temperature change here in beautiful Canada treat your equipment/ powder?

I've taken over a spare bedroom/storeroom.
Humidity will hurt stuff. Cold won't.
Having your fingers stick to the press handle in a cold garage would get old pretty quick.

Loading in the garage shouldn't pose a problem.
Your press etc. are just tools and most of us keep tools in the garage. Powder and primer storage needs a cool dry place, the garage may not work so well.
If the garage is your best place to load, just find a better place for storage.

I reload in the Garage all the time. I keep all my components,powder/primers etc in the house and I also toss in a couple of large silica bags to help keep things dry.

Load in the heated/insulated garage "out back". Done it for 30 years - no problem with "keeping things cool" - no different than powder/primers sitting on retail shelves. If you load for a "gazillion" calibers - you accumulate a LOTTA STUFF to store so loading out of the house keeps "The Mrs" happier!!!

My Office/Workshop strangly, I have a 4'Lx8'W Workbench that can hold up to 3000lbs so I reload on it using a Aluminum Portable Plate. ALso has 14" Exhaust Fan for heat and chemicals

I was in the outdoor shop but by the time I lit a fire and got the shop warm I usually didn't feel like reloading. So I bolted my press to my office desk and now I can do 5 or more cases anytime.

I reload in my workshop.Never had a problem.The humidity is pretty low here in thr Okanagan.It gets above 40 here ar times but never has posed a problem.Have been load for 12 yrs.with never a problem.Used to reload in my shop in the Fraser Valley where it rains moet of the time with high humidity.Still never a problem.Just keep your powder dry as the saying goes.

Work bench in my garage, keep my powders and primers locked up in there too. When it gets really cold sometimes move it in to my laundry room.

Wouldn't moving stuff from the cold into the warm cause issues with condensation? Powder should be fine as thats sealed, but wouldn't the primers be exposed to moisture this way?

As for me, I do my trimming, priming and powder weighing in the basement, then do all operations requiring the press in my unheated shed. Reloading really sucks when it's -35.

I'm setup in the unfinished part of my basement. I control the humidity with a dehumidifier in summer so my powder stays dry and my guns are rust free.

It's all kept in an air tight container. I let it warm up/ cool down before I open it, have yet to have an issue.
