So, been away from this community for quite a while. I was wondering where people stand in regard to reloading small pistol caliber with our dear friend in Ottawa banning handguns and ARs. Are people abandoning or doing the opposite? I checked a couple of stores online and Dillon presses seem to be rare. As for me, I haven’t set a foot in a club for a long time. I feel our sport is dying. Poilievre is our last hope. But even then, it’s a matter of time before the sluggish masses votes another socialist in power. Sorry, I’m black pilled.

Please share your views. I need to estimate the value of stuff I want to get rid of.

Thanks

As long as I have a firearm, handgun included, it will be shot and it will need ammunition. To rely on what is available on store shelves and have to pay the stated price is a mistake in my opinion. The more aspects of your sport you can control, the better.

I don't even understand the question. Small caliber guns like .25 and .32 have been prohibited to new buyers for 30 years, of course they are declining in popularity, what does that have to do with the politics of AR15s? And all sports are dying, as kids who are raised with screens as babysitters abandon everything in the real world, from curling to volleyball, in huge numbers. Poilievre our last hope? pfft...I'm sure people said the same thing of Stockwell Day. I can't even guess what "black pilled" means.

The only thing I can make sense of is your last sentence. Now that the decline of the western world is obvious to all, there has been a huge demand for guns, ammunition, and reloading supplies. Demand well exceeds supply, mostly for components but for some gear, too. Stuff you have should sell well.

I shoot prs style matches and it would seem it is growing every day, it is hard to get components to reload, 3 gun and service rifle are attempting a resurgence with nr semi's, empty shelves are a result of higher demand than supply.

The market for reloading stuff right now is horrible
Low stock on pretty much everything and super inflated pricing on what is available
It’s a bad time to get into reloading if your just starting out

Reloading is the only way I can afford to shoot enough to be competitive, I cast bullets and reload for .32cal and .45 acp the most also .38/.357. Of course .22lr is all purchased and my stash is dwindling.

I don't understand the people who say "They might ban this _______ so I'm never doing that thing again"
I've seen people say "I'm not buying X gun because they might ban it"
Now I've seen people saying "I'm not going to reload. I don't go to gun ranges. I don't shoot anymore because the government might ban it"

The government won't need to ban a thing if we all have this defeatist attitude. I'm going to shoot more. For that reason I'm going to reload more. I'd like to continue to bring more and more new people into the sport, but (luckily) it's very tough in my area to find anyone who has no experience with firearms

Thanks to those who bothered for an intelligent answer. My apologies for my imperfect knowledge of the English language.

I quit CGN a few years ago tired of the bashing and hammering over petty stuff. It seems rather paradoxical that this one place where people should be using good manners and refrain from unwarranted aggressiveness more than anywhere else, is the worst I visit online. Oh well.

You set the negative tone for the entire thread in the first post. So no surprise you got some negative replies.
