where does one buy simple green?

i have just purchased a m14s rifle and have read on several threads that
simple green gets the cosmoline off the best
but am not aware of this product,nor where it can be purchased.
if someone can let me know it wld be appreciated

I have found hot water and dish soap on a soft sponge to work nearly as well. IMHO

Otherwise, I know that SuperStore has it.

The best is varsol/mineral spirits. Many use SG because there are no fumes. But any water based alkaline cleaner will be slower than a petro solvent.

Can Tire, Walmart, etc etc for Simple Green. There are other degreasers and bio-degreasers apart from just 'Simple Green' if things like Varsol are not preferred.

Use rubber gloves and eye protection too, don't want SG or petroleum/chemicals/acetone in your eyes!

And do it in a well ventilated area.

Brake cleaner evaporates too fast. MS works best. This is from a lifetime of cleaning car parts and greasy guns.

It's fine for trying to quickly de-goo something, but as CanAm mentions, it drys too fast, and it also tends to leave a film that looks like ####.

I got a car soap Simple Green at Canadian Tire. But there are other types of Simple Green that they were out of.
