Been calling around, not much luck finding 22 mossberg tacticals in stock. Or anybody with the 25 rnd mags. Would prefer to pickup in ontario somewhere and not to ship, but if I had too I would.

Thought i heard the mossie's were all sent back to overseas manufacturer due to quality control issues.

Better luck finding an honest politician right now!

Someone said aswell they were 5 months behind in production. Dunno if that's a good or bad thing. Probably bad because I want my 22 tactical!

You can do a lot better. Marlin 795 or Ruger 10/22. There's a reason they're hard to find, and I heard Mossberg customer service is a complete nightmare. This is bad because you will need it.

I haven't hear too many negative things about that gun. Do you have any links where there are people having a lot of problems?

For the price the seem to be pretty decent.

They're very hit or miss. The Mossberg Tactical is just a Mossberg 702 Plinkster with an AR shell. There are many issues with this action, and it jams a lot. Reliability is a huge concern. If you are looking in Canada for a tactical high capacity .22LR rifle that is reliable, there's only one that comes to mind. Ruger 10/22 or Ruger SR22. By either one of these, upgrade the extractor to a KIDD or Volquartsen $15-$20, get some Butler Creek 25rnd mags ($30-$40), and you will be much happier. The SR-22 already comes with an AR shell, or you can buy a regular 10/22 and a Troy T-22 stock from Fabsports.ca. The 10/22 with a T-22 Troy stock looks very sharp and Tacticool. IMO, the $ spent on a Mossberg Tactical can get you a much better rifle for a little bit more.

Just research "Mossberg 702 Plinkster" and you should see many negative reports on it.

I just want to tip over some pop cans. If I'm gona spend 500 bucks it will be on a real gun. I have heard of tonnnns of people using the mossbergs without problems.and ya there's a reason you cant find them, they sell out as soon as they come in. How much did it cost shipped from milarm?

Not trying to shoot down your balloon. Get what makes you happy. If you just want to shoot some pop cans, you might want to consider a Marlin 795 as well. Good luck friend.

Do what I did. I picked up a used 10/22 that I could shoot immediately and waited until i saw a tactical stock come up for sale. It might be a little more expensive (not much) than a Mossberg but I feel the quality difference will be worth it.

I have seen some Archangel and Marauders go for decent prices that when added to a used ruger, are not much more than a Mossy after taxes.

Thanks. Just checked out the Maurader stock..

Aside from getting a good deal on an SR-22 frame, the Marauder was my first choice.

Once you have the 10/22, you can sit and wait for the right deal to come up. In the meantime, shoot the ruger as is and enjoy it:):ar15:

No way you payed 344 for a mossy. Epps price, 254.06, I realize there are much better 22s on the market. I just sold my 10/22 international stainless a while back. I had it for a few years and the novelty just wore off. Bought it for about 500 new, sold it for about 300 used. That's a 200 dollar hit. Used mossys sell all day long for 200, I will shoot it till I'm bored of it and sell it, except I won't lose 200 bucks.
