Is it just me or is the EE for milsurps as dry as a desert for anything interesting or decent? It seems to be 90% sporterized enfields or sks. YUCK!

Has everyone stopped selling now that the LGR is dead and everyone is hoarding? I have to admit to being less likely to sell now that the amount of my collection is "off the books" so to speak. But come on folks you can only have so many safes before your wife looks at you funny.

Is there another website I am missing out on?

Did I miss a memo or something?

"...milsurps as dry as a desert..." It's summer in most parts of Canada. Nobody is selling firearms. In any case, the supply of decent milsurps dried up long ago.

Could always desporter an enfield. I'm planning on it if I can ever find one in decent shape for price that isn't ridiculous. I like the feeling of pride I get from doing a nice job polishing up an old gem.

I guess I got lucky. I got a sportered longbranch no4 mk1* for $200 and the best part is that the barrel is the original length

I find good stuff on the EE all of the time! Guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Like desporterizer said, you have to have cash on hand and be ready to PM "I'll take it" when you find a deal.

Most of the really excellent stuff is in the hands of people who know what it's worth - last weekend I handled a beautiful PPCLI marked Ross, and a Longbranch No4 T (complete) owned by the same gent.

I know myself its a matter of the lower end stuff just not being that interesting anymore. The stuff that I am interested in now is more rarely seen and I just don't have the money to purchase any of it yet. Starting to find myself watching auction sites in the US though.

Recently picked up a chopped Ross marked to MY old Regiment.

There will be a Thread posted in the next few days, titled "THE MISSING LINK".

LOTSa pic-a-tchers, too.

Watch for it.

Gresham's Law applies here and is the answer to your question.

the only thing i really browse the EE for now is reloading stuff, the price of sporters are unreal now even a few months back i bought a few and were already starting to climb high, no one is selling much right now,

You know it's getting bad when I can still walk into a gun store and buy a sportered No4 Mk1 for $150, when the going price on the EE is north of $200.
