PM 'Morb' I think he has a regular SKS and a SKS-d with some stuff done to them that he is looking to sell.

i dont understand... why bother with saying its an all matching SKS? because, lets not kid our selves... it IS an SKS! Not like its a garand or something!

Well wouldn't you like to have a nice matching Yugo or Russian SKS?

Sks-d

Call Canadian Tire, Kenora, Ontario 1-888-448-4420, and ask for Ted in the firearms departement. It is a Norinco sks-d with original stock, b-square mount, Tasco pro-point, and bayonet going for 450.00 firm, he has been trying to sell it for months!

Hah, that's what they WERE saying about garands a few years back. "Why bother, it's only a $150 gun..."

Not really, as long as it functions! SKSs are made to shoot, not drool over!

Well, you think about SKS this way because it's cheap now. Surplus Garants used to be cheap too... ;) but not anymore. While you can get chinese SKS for about $170 tax in. The matching Russian one is already over $450.00 and people cannot even find one for sale. Yugo already sold all their surplus, so I don't expect more. It's $300 + now and I don't expect it to go down. Chech version of their rifle (that looks like SKS) used to sell for $250, it's now at $500 range...

Norinco wouldn't get high in value unless they close their plant, so Chinese SKS is just a shooter.

That's because it's price is approx $200 above what it is worth (regardless what the market says).

Mind you I have always wanted to buy an SKS with Canadian tire money. :D

While China was the largest user of the SKS, they have not built one for the military since about 1985.

They'll be coming in for some time to come as China has millions to surplus. Everyone sells out fast here because they are inexpensive and they are slow to resupply from the source.
