Factor in exchange rate, import/export paperwork, shipping, etc...... and you are there.

I go back and fore quite a bit, usually twice a year, $679 was the best price that I have see included all rail for the system, even with the exchange rates, it would cost no more than $800.....

sage stock

milarm has some kind of stock similar to that made by AKM (?) for 850$. I put some $$ on one but am unsure if I want the thing

As TM1 mentions, Milarm in Edmonton is having some made up by an outfit in Saskatchewan. I was showed one the other day - they are very well made (machined from a solid block of "aircraft grade" aluminum), and will come in around the $800 mark.
