I'm looking for skeletonized hammers and triggers and extended slide releases for my Norc 1911's. What stores in Canada carry them? I see them online in the states but they won't ship here. Can anyone tell me of Canadian specialty shops that carry them other than Armco?

Thanks for the rapid response. Why stay away from extended slide release? I have medium sized hands and don't want to shift grip to release the slide. Skeet I checked the banners and they didn't have what I was looking for other than Armco but they lack pictures of the specific items I want. Skeet will you be at the range on the 26th 27th of April?

Personal preference really, I never use the slide lock to release the slide and I think that the Extended ones are a waste of money and can cause function issues depending on your hold.

If you are looking for pictures of specific parts, go to ww w.brownells.com
and just switch between Armcos, or Freedom Ventures pages to see what the items look like

Thanks JohnnyMac, that Brownells tip was gold. Found everything I was looking for. Just hope the customs officers don't have sticky fingers.

epps will order anything you want out of the brownells catalog, they have an import licence, and with thier discount the prices are about the same, but they only do one order a month, so not a good choice if your in a rush.

1911 Parts & Extended Slide Releases....

Ix-nay on the extended slide release-say........ that said, personally I've found the EE here to be an excellent source for 1911 parts [well, except the putz that tried to sell me the broken Colt slide stop as an "as new" part...]..... Back to the extended slide stop thing... the one that came on my Norc NP-29 9mm is in the parts box with the other 'stuff' I swapped off my 1911's for better stuff obtained off the EE here..... ;)

Any left handed shooters tried an extended slide stop? Wilson Combat sell them. Not sure if they ship outside the USA though.

What's wrong with Chi-com parts?

I think you should stick with the original factory Chi-com parts. What's wrong with them anyway?
I see lots of guys on this site replacing the factory parts with aftermarket parts not Chi-com. Why?
They end up with a parts gun.
The bottom line is, if you have to replace parts on a Chi-com, reverse-engineered gun, what do you have left?
Doesn't that leave the slide, frame and barrel as parts, suspect too?
