Don't forget local adds, I've bought a couple nice enfields locally for good prices. Many times the seller isnt a milsurp collector and therefore the price can in most cases be very reasonable. Then there's here on the EE, the places listed above, gun shows etc. Half the fun of collection to me is the thrill of searching for things!

I'll second that. I bought a Lee Enfield advertized as "sporterized" a few years ago locally for $100. It was a No.5 Jungle Carbine, pretty much mint. Sometimes people have no idea.

Post a WTB on the surplus EE forum. I sell the odd #4 but prefer local. A lot less hassle.

Pullens in Victoria. Eventually you'll find it there, whatever it is you want. I've seen everything from DCRA guns to rack grade, to just plain ugly. Might be a bit of a trip, depending on where you are.
