Hey folks. I am new to this forum and also aspiring to become a gunsmith. Right now I am just getting started and the word out of everyone mouth is "you cant get anything from our southern neighbours anymore." Which I found out first hand today. I tried to make a Brownells order and I was only able to get two things off of my list that I had. When I had contacted CBSA earlier she had warned my most of this happens because of trade agreements between the countries blah blah blah. Now that being said where does everyone go to order there supplies in Canada??????? One thing on my list that I really needed is Belgian Blue blueing solution... any leads on to where I can get this or something similar???

Thanks!

You can still get alot of stuff out of the US but not everything like you used to. It's possible that an Ed Brown beavertail fitting jig is available but the Brownells equivalent isn't, so you need to think of your options for substitutions before you order. In general getting any kind of chemicals ( ie: blueing agents ) was always very hard from Brownells. It takes a bit more work but it can still be done. A wtb add on EE works to. I've seen sear jigs, checkering files, and the like pop up from time to time.

I'm more of an Arma/Duracoat person so sorry can't help much with blue.

Thanks for the help guys. That link was very descriptive lots of info there! I already have my Pj's order form filled out ready to go into the mail! Thanks again, I'll probably give them a call before the job is attempted for any pointers.
