where is all the 5.45X39

i'm trying to find some 5.45X39 , case lot prefered. Marstar lists but is sold out... any ideas on where i can get my mitts on this stuff.... FMJ is what i need.

I don't believe any is approved for sale in Canada. Likely too few guns chambered in it. Basically a few AK-74's and the SSG-82 sniper rifles.

Yeah I've heard a fair amount of demand for this caliber, enough that I would think there should be some supply..
but alas, I must admit I've NEVER seen it in stock on any website or any store.

How much demand can there be. Most of the guns that use it can't be taken to the range.

Well the snipers can be taken to the range, but better to reload. Anyhow I am sure people at gun shows who get wolf could probably help you out.

If you mean non-restricted/not prohibited the few SSG-82 as mentioned. Century in Montreal had a few to sell just before they went T.U.

SSG-82 is more of a "sharpshooter" rifle than sniper gear. Rumour had it that it's primary role was to pick off defectors in the border areas. BTW, they are not a particularly well made/finished item, at least the one which I had examined back in the 90s.

Other than that, perhaps some custom experimental bolt that someone might have made.

To my knowledge, a handful of AK74 type rifles made it in as C/As to the hands of private collectors before the prohib train left the station.

I know 2 guys who have them. One is prohib of course & the other one is built on a Valmet reciever & is listed as restricted.
