Looking at 2013 posts for 1000 rounds 45ACP at $269 and free shipping makes me cringe.

Where is the best priced 45 ammo at these days? SFRC is basically out, and CanadaAmmo doesnt even have 50 rounds in stock.

Ouch.

45ACP is the easiest to reload, nothing like short, fat rounds. Brass last forever and most forgiving with the low pressure, low speed off the typical 1911.

Get sponsored :) i do not like shooting reloaded ammo in competitions, and i do not like to train with ammo that i wont be using for competiton. In the end i dry fire alot lol.

i just bought $25/50 of sellier & bellot FMJ from T.E.C. Free shipping right to your door when you buy a case.
that's $5 a box cheaper than crappy tire

ammosupply still has some wolf reloaded LRN: https://www.ammosupply.ca/info/279/ . I have using wolf only with no issues. and Kate from ammosupply is always a pleasure to deal with.

And as for reloading, as you mentioned your time is expensive, I assume you can easily afford to buy a fully loaded Dillon 1050 fully automated with at least 1000-1200RD/Hr production rate. So, 10K will be done in no time. It won't recover all your time cost if you are a Dr or lawyer, but beats to let your guns sitting there with nothing to shoot.

take into account shipping costs as well. i have been liking the sellier ammo, but only buying a case from a store with free shipping will make it worth it worth the difference from buying it from crappy tire.
just food for thought. prices online may sound like a nice deal, but don't forget to factor in shipping costs.

I recently picked up 500rnds of Wolf 45ACP SWC @ SFRC for $189.95. They work great and accurate out of my S&W 625PC but damn are they smokey!
I've also tried Wolf 45ACP TMJ thru my semi's without any issues...

I find the Wolf smokey as well. That seems to hold true for .45 and the Wolf .38 I have. I got some Wasp reloaded .45 from Ammosupply last time ($425/1000) and they seem cleaner than the Wolf. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to have been any resupply after the initial introduction of the Wasp brand. Not sure what's happening there......?
