I didn't know that the several million Glock owners around the world including civilians, LEO and military had an issue with the lack of additional safties on their pistols. Thankfully a solution has been found:bangHead:

apparently you haven't been paying attention. Severe injury and death from Glocks going off during holstering and other admin handling are significant enough that Glock was asked to put safeties on pistols for some buyers. The genius behind the SCD is that it doesn't require any manual input to make the gun fire when you want it to, it's imply to stop it from firing during holstering, having zero negative effect on the gun. It's been adopted by a ton of the leading combative instructors for use on their personal guns, as well as recommended to their students.

I shared your opinion, in the beginning, but was forced to re-examine my prejudices by a couple of specific examples where the individual was in a situation where he wished to reholster while both seated and belted. Certainly, if one could make the argument that - if you stopped and unbelted and stood up and took care to ensure that the muzzle did not cover you while reholstering - the 'gadget' could be superfluous. In a circumstance where one could not (stop, or unbelt, or stand up), and assuming that reholstering was something considered necessary, the 'gadget' might offer some value.

Understanding that guns are often used when fighting for ones life, what happens with a Glock with this device if you have to muzzle stuff someone when rolling around on the floor with them?
