I'm getting sick of waiting for this thing... and I'm getting sick of robarm not updating their website.

They don't reply to my emails with more than 2 words... come the #### on....

Wally, why don't you drop XCRmonger a polite PM. If you're nice she might give you the straight dope. Better than starting a rant.

my 2 cents:wave:

Besides that WTF is up with LWRC 308,, where the hell are the updates, I'm sick of this #### goddamnit:p:p:p:p:p:p

All in good time grasshopper:D

I wouldn't expect the XCR-M till next summer here that is if its available this fall or winter in the US. Robarm knows the demand up here don't worry you will have your XCR-M before too long.

They're been working on it as a main priority. We've started having the prototype parts made as well. It's a work in progress, but we want to get it finished as much as you want to caress it. Don't worry, we understand the demand for it and are working to meet it accordingly.

Why not just cut it down when it arrives at your door?

There is an opinion that the wording of the CCC prohibits cutting down even a restricted rifle to a shorter than 18.5 inch length. (As with many aspects of our gun law, opinions vary)

One possible option that might satisfy both sides of the border, would be to have Robarms counterbore the factory 16 inch barrels to the desired length. My reading suggests the barrel would be a legal 16 inch barrel as far as the US State department is concerned, and as far as Canada is concerned, it would be whatever the length is from the breechface to the end of the rifled section. Cutting off the useless counterbored section after import might be kosher.

See the wisdom?:bigHug:

16" XCR... wouldn't that make it restricted because it's a centerfire semi-auto rifle? I thought a major part of the XCR's appeal is the non-restricted "black rifle" thing. A fellow shooter who's been eagerly awaiting his XCR just got it, so there's hope!

It would make it restricted. I for one don't care. I'd still buy one. I live in the city, range use is all my guns see. Others in the same boat would likely agree.

That said, I do see a very valid case for a longer non-res version. All the more reason to buy two I suppose...:D

I hate waiting
lol no kidding.

Good to know things are in motion but regular updates would definitely ease the fits.

I can't wait to see this unit.

I don't understand the draw to restricted rifles.... they are cool, but useless. Every restricted XCR that enters the country is one less XCR for the non-r community.

I respectfully disagree.

I think every legally registered and responsibly owned restricted (or unrestricted) firearm that enters in to this country is a message to our gooberment AND Canadian society that firearms are NOT the baby killers the bleeding hearts claim them to be.

Point FINALE.
