not allowed to shoot gopher's on crown lands in BC...have to find a farmer with a field who says it's okay.

None, to not enough even if people have know of population they won't be posting it up on here. The population of these critters are far and few in BC. The ones I've seen are mostly in provinicial or national parts and for some reason don't venture out of park lines.
Your best bet is to travel east to parts of Alberta or Sask were the population are overrun in a few areas.

Look, someone pointed out that shooting "gophers" on crown land in BC is prohibited.
No one seemed to pay any attention, but if you are caught at it, you will be mighty sorry you tried it. BC game laws are not taken lightly by the officials.
If you are a new hunter, for heavens sake, study the game regulations, and don't try to get someone on here to help you break the law.
