while I haven't gone through all the CDN websites, I believe I've scoured all the BC sponsor sites and all the Alberta sponsor sites and no luck. 17 Gen 4's are everywhere but no 19's.

I've shot the 17 and I could hold it okay, but I've small hands and would like the opportunity to handle a 17 and 19 side by side and see what I feel fits me best.

I've been waffling over what my first centerfire pistol was going to be, I've decided a Glock.

has anyone seen any 19 G4's in the LML?

I guess I should ask which of those two model's converts best to .22LR too, since that would be 'nice'.

I just don't like the barrel sticking out beyond the slide on the Glock 19 it's weird looking and the sights are even worse.

Till they fix that the Glock 17 is my choice with the smallest back strap

exactly! I may have to look to IRG...*head's over to take a gander*.

wish I could hold em side by side though... :(

I don't know how big your hands are but I'm 5'6" and the 19 g3 is a much more comfortable fit than a 17 g4 when I was at the gun store one day. But like everybody I'm leaning towards the 17 or 34 simply because of availability.

because I'm going to exchange them for different sights. a red dot, in fact. can't do that with the fixed sights. :p

You do realize fixed is simply referring to the fact that they don't have any adjustment... the fixed sights are mounted to the slide in exactly the same manner as the adjustable ones.

well, I just learned something new! :D

I've only shot about 10 rounds through a Glock 17 g4 when a member at a range let me give it a shot after letting his kids shoot my .22LR pistols. I didn't closely examine the sights. heh.

thanks for the clarification! :D

Glock did a run of the Gen 3 G19s for the Canadian market. Glock provided the extended threaded barrel they use for suppressed guns and the same sights used on suppressed guns. No Gen 4 guns were done. If you insist on a Gen 4 G19 you will likely be getting one with an aftermarket barrel.

There ya go! Learn something new every day.

Exactly why can't Glock do it right the first time.. accountants in charge of the company I guess..

That's the problem with us Canadians, we think were important :p afew hundred Glocks sold to Canada is a joke when afew hundred thousand are sold in the USA.

like when the Canadian army wanted pistols companies to bend over backwards to supply the CAF with only 10,000 pistols LMAO

If you're after the G19, and want to convert to .22, maybe consider getting the ISSC M-22 instead. The .22 conversion kit will set you back $500 from a Canadian dealer, or around $350 from IRG. You can get the ISSC M-22 for about $300.

The ISSC M-22 is very similar to the G19.
