Ok so I was in Saskatoon today looking to pick up some 22lr as I am almost out. I could not find any bulk stuff anywhere except wss and North pro. wss wanted like 35 bucks for cheap Winchester that doesn't feed at all in my 10/22. then North pro wanted 50 buck for Remington!! where the heck is all the federal or cci blazer?

It hasnt been manufactured yet....
People been hording cause they think the end is near....
You know preppers and shtf types.
Tight Groups,

Sounds about right.... saw a case of 5250 feds on EE here for something like $379 and no low balls etc.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep as they say

keep your sights up, empty mag or not :p

Checked with CTC and they no longer stock CCI Standard.. discontinued.. so even CTC can't get any.. Spoke with a Distributor and they don't know..:(

I guess your one of the under the rock people's.

US panic buying and hoarding, they are making 22lr (all major companies) 24/7.

I noticed Winchester has started making 222 packs now to spread the ammo I assume.

I heard that Winchester did a big recall, a problem with the priming compound. They ere'd on the side of caution and pulled a BUNCH from the shelves.
Could be true I suppose.
My gopher gun this spring is a 32-20 anyhow, .22 lr...Meh

Been having a hard time finding it in Edmonton... finally found some Winchester 333 packs at Leduc CT. I bought up 10 of them, they had 5 more. They probably just got those in today or yesterday.

Our local CTC is down to bricks of .22 rem thunderbolts at $36/brick and some CCI quiets. Our only LGS just found (2 days ago) 8-10 bricks of AE eagle, down to 5. Outside that they've got a few bucket o' bullets and the high end biathlon ammo. That is literally the entire stock of .22 for sale in my town as far as I can tell.

There's some wildcats at $4/50 at wal-mart and CTC as well I forgot to mention.

When gophering season starts, there should be all sorts of it available.

It is gopher season, and that's probably why it's hard to find any .22LR now.

As usual, everyone who shoots gophers waits until last minute to buy anything.......every year, even though they know years in advance that they will need/use it.

I can fill a bathtub with Thunderbolts if I wanted, I can find those buckets in a few places. For bulk stuff, I'm partial to the Blaser 5250 packs, and those are nowhere to be seen, that I can find.

I haven't seen a shortage, could buy what I wanted if I was so inclined. But I have no need, I have built up a nice stash just by waiting and looking for sales and then "buying cheap and stacking deep".

I don't consider it hoarding, if anything I am helping the current situation by not having to buy ammo.

Maybe that is why I have so many FTF rounds, when I disable them I find the priming compound throughout the powder.
