I have been looking everywhere. All that’s left is Eley therefore I gotta adjust my headspace on my Cz. But my other rifles like the Lapua center and xact, also for long range I need the SK LR. Also all the RWS special match is also all sold out.

Does anybody have any to buy or when are the dealers going to ever get more.

I heard that Eley only concentrates on 22lr and easy to get into country. The lapua is busy manufacturing for military. But in the US they seem to have more greater stocks than us.

So if CCI is inconsistent can I open up and dump out say 100 cases. Then accurately measuring up the powder and reseating the bullet (with 22lr die) to get more consistent powder amounts? Also measuring rim thickness as well. Will this work.

use a Cortina Tuner - shoot anything ✔️

No idea where you live ....

Try Dominion in Winkler or Heights Outdoors in Winnipeg.

I use SK Match or Longe Range, or adjust my Tuner for whatever.

My last bricks were from Reliable Gun in Vancouver and Nechanko Outdoors. Pay the courier .... shooting is not a cheap sport ...

Buy bricks?

I have to buy bricks at a time - compete + shoot alot . Usually pick up while traveling... theres alot of places to buy.

Thanks I’m in bc but like u said it don’t matter how much.

Yes google bolt shims Cz 457. There is also barrel shims. It’s all a habit hole.

Interesting.

Once i send 7-10 rounds for fouling, my CZ shoots every decent ammo i have teied thru one hole at 50.
Tho i have had “stiff” feeding with Eley contact.
I stick to rws and sk in that gun most of the time.

Maybe a head space adjustment wud help with those eley rounds.

Yes my Cz does same but that is the issue no more rws or SK in Canada. It sucks.

SK-HV & SEMI-A still there. HV is 'listed' as 1263 and Semi is 1132. And Solely has RWS Rifle-Match 'S'. If these don't 'do the job' maybe you guys should have bought a brick instead of a box?

As long as im learning,
I recently bought a new 20” barrel for my 16” match and trried to move my 16” match o to my sons “scout” build.
Upon assembly, the bolt did not want to rotate down into battery.
Enough so that i ended up abandoning that idea for the moment and putting the scout barrel back on.
But the bolt drop is a bit stiffer than it was before.

The stock 16” sporter barrel was quite difficult to remove initially and it looks and feels as though the little stainless barrel ramp insert is making it a tough squeeze.

Is there a fix for that?

I rebarreled a 455 Super Match with a 452 new take-off 20" varmint barrel. Same problem with hard bolt closing. I measured fresh ammo rim thickness, then chambered it (with difficulty) and remeasured, the rim thickness was compressed by almost 0.002". Not enough head space. I shimmed the barrel out by 0.0015, now when chambering there is only slightly more force required than there is when dry cycling the action. It really shoots too! Barrel shim kits can be ordered.

Thanks a bunch!
I will look into this.

I have two other 457’s and when i i spect the chambers, the little stainless feed ramp is rigjt fluch against the back of the chamber face.

On this one, there is a wee gap. And the barrel is seated in full flush with the action face.

Im wondering if that stainless feed ramp is jammed under a bit and causing a bit or pressure on bolt rotation.

Especially because this issue showed up upon re-assembly of a rifle that had zero issue before.

I have a bit of time today so i will fully dissemble and clean and reassemble and see if that cleara it up.

I will also do the chambering test you went thru.

Thanks again.
