Where to buy 300 meter targets ?

Maybe the local Canadian Tire store? Birchwood Casey 8inch Shoot-N-C targets.

Edit; If you are seeking out official targets try emailing your provincial rifle association webpage contacts list?
Surely someone at the DCRA would be able to point you in the correct direction friend?

I make my own. Years ago I made a plastic stencil with a 3x2 foot high target, and I use old paint on sheets of cardboard or the rolled up stuff they use for shipping. I've used these targets to 500 meters. I hang onto 4x4 pieces of cardboard until I have enough to paint a batch, then I'm good for a while.

I know you can order them from the States as I've been looking for the same thing, but have not found a local source. I'd like to get ahold of the NRA targets used for BPTR midrange shoots.

If you find a Canadian source please post it. :)

Thanks,

Chris.

By saying open sights, I take it you mean target style peep sights maybe?

I sometimes practice with the above mentioned Birchwood Casey black target, popped right in the middle of an 18x24" white target paper background, with my peep sighted Wichita target rifle at 300 meters. Anything beyond this distance, with this specific target, is just too hard on these old eyes without optical help.

The black round target suits the round frontsight and rear target peep very well IMHO.

Hi

I am using a Soule rear sight with a globe front sight and round inserts.

The Birchwood Casey 8 inch Shoot-N-C target has a aiming center way too small for the sights I use.

The "amning mark" ( black spot ) on the 300 meters DCRA targets is 22 inches wide.

Thanks for the attention.

Gerald

Contact the DCRA, they will sell you all the target faces and wear centers that you need. Chances are your PRA will direct you to the DCRA anyway. The 300 yard and 300m target are the same target the only difference is that you either paste on a 300 yard or 300m wear center. You can also buy 300m ISU targets and wear centers from the DCRA.
