The two main differences are grain and bullet type.

Grain differences

135gr vs 124gr

Grain refers to weight when it is used to describe firearm ammunition.

Speaking in the broadest possible way, lighter bullets tend to be more accurate at short and medium range because they move faster coming out of the gun and have a flatter trajectory so it is easier to aim precisely. They tend to lose their speed relatively quickly, so they will also hit downrange targets with less force than heavier bullets.

Those heavier bullets are trickier to get precise shots at medium range, but air resistence will effect them less than their lighter brethren. They will retain more speed over longer distances, and so will hit distant targets with greater force.

Differences in bullet types

Lead RN = Lead RoundNose (uses a round nose lead bullet)
TMJ = total metal jacket (has copper around the whole bullet, it eliminates the amount of exposed lead that can be atomized at the moment of ignition and inhaled by the shooter, they usually use non-toxic, non-sulferic and non-lead primers, some indoor ranges prefer this ammo)
FMJ = full metal jacket (uses a soft core, usually lead, wrapped in a copper or steel-alloy)

By the way Target Sports is a great shop just outside Toronto that sells ammo and they also do bulk although I would call before hand to check for 9MM. It's probably quite a long trip for you(not really sure the distance between oshawa and stoufville) but I think you would be pleased with their facilities, staff and prices..

check wolf bullets either from wolf, or from South frontenac http://www.southfrontenacrental.com/

Forget SFRC... I just bought what was left. They're out of stock now on the 9mm.

You could try Wolf directly but demand is so high for 9mm that I heard that what ever is made is shipped out to the stores like SFRC, Williams etc etc and don't forget he does bulk club orders.

You could give him you empty brass and have him reload for you.

I also heard why there are no small pistol primers as well... companies are buying them all up regardless of the price and that leaves nothing left for the comsumers who reload.

This is why I'm swithing to .22lr and bought myself a Sig Classic 22... a full size pistol in 22cal.

Good luck on your search.

I tried them a week and half ago and no bulk but individual boxes of 50... can I say $$$
