I want to start learning how to reload .308 and wanted to start with the Lee 308 Loading Kit. I've tried searching through google for a dealer and ebay (had the kit but it was incomplete) as well, no luck. Is there anyplace I can order online in Canada or that will ship to Canada?

I can help you out... I have both lee single stage rifle presses kits in my online store, along with 308 dies... buy the kit and get the dies and thats all you need to get started makeing great ammo...

You can find a link to my store in my signature below.

Thanks for the reply Drew, one question though. I was under the impression that the Lee 308 Loading kit comes with everything you need to reload for that caliber (this kit didn't have a press it was more of a pocket style kit) Do you carry it and do I still need to get the dies?

i beleive he's speaking of the lee loader, the one where you hammer the case, etc- not a press/dies/whatever-

Are you talking about this ?

The Classic Lee Loader is still available new. I just got one from Cabela Canada in 303 British. They go quick on ee when they do come up. A scale will be the next addition. Hope to go to the range tommorow with the loads I made up with it.

Thats all I use to reload for now. You can make some real accurate ammo with this kit, its just slower. As said though, buy a scale. The other item I purchased to go along with the Lee Loader was a Lee Auto-Prime, which was the best $16 I spent so far lol

I'm so happy when I see a story come together. I bought a Lee Loader in .38S&W years ago and have since upgraded for it and other calibres but I still have it.:)

I shot the ammo I built with my Lee Loader today. Very impressed with the consistancy. I actually hit some things this morning! Will definatly be buying a scale since the chart is very limited in powder types for the dipper. The lee auto prime would be good too.

Cabelas Canada has a 308 lee loader but they are back ordered right now.

I have often wondered if these worked or not? Can you get any consistency with these such as OAL, crimp etc?

I've only tried the one in 30-06, and I have made very accurate ammo with it. Its the first time i have been able to shoot half inch groups and under consistently. Something I could never do with commercial ammo.
