Where to buy a M700 barrel?

I am trying to purchase a barrel for a repro M40 build. I need a .308 Win/1-10 Twist, chrome moly, varmint contour (or shilen contour # 5.5). I want it to be .830" wide when cut to 24" long.

I would like it to be a preturned blank with no threads nor chamber cut,

but a Short-Chambered; Pre-Threaded To Fit Remington 700 Actions that is similar to the third one down on this page is acceptable too:

I know it's difficult to order from the US now because of the import/export laws, can any of you tell me who I should turn to?

You want a pre turned blank... no chambering, no threading done... just a blank... to the outside contour you want...

Kreiger barrels are excellent barrels...

The Remington factory contour barrel Brownell's sells is a Shilen barrel thats ready for finishing by a smithy. That you can get from Shilen with the usual U.S. export permit required. Or you can do a search, here, for the Canadian barrel makers. Ted Gaillard is one.

sorry if that was confusing. i mean i WANT a blank, but if i CAN'T FIND ONE i would use one that's threaded already.

Ted only offers stainless blanks... I don't know if you can Parkerize stainless... ???

I was told "no" and recommended to duracoat instead.

Note though that the Remy 700 XCR LRT is stainless and has black Trinyte coating - a super-thin multilayer coating of electroless nickel and zirconium nitride.
