I've been searching around but have had no luck. I am looking for a Marlin Model 1894 Cowboy in .38/.357

Are there any dealers that stock them? What sort of prices should I be looking at? Also, what is the difference between the Cowboy I and II and Limited? Marlin's site is rather vague on the topic...

For special items like what you are asking about - I call Clay at Prophet River. He can order what you want, you just have to wait till it comes. The price he tells you will be fine.

Remember how many zillion gun models there are and "have been". You have to buy when they are around or you risk disappointment when they disappear.

According to the SASS website, Remington is dismantling their Marlin lever gun factory and moving it to another state. It may be a while for Marlin levers to get back on the market again. However, an unsubstantiated rumor has it that Remington may cease making Marlin 94's at the new location. I hope it's just that, a rumor.

I have a Marlin 94CB and a 94C that I use with CAS along with my Rossi 92 and Winchester 66 all in .38/.357.

Williams Arms in Port Perry, Ontario, has one listed on their website.

Thanks for the help guys! I also found out Wholesale Sports lists them on their website, under the two models Cowboy I and Cowboy II. Any clue what the differences would be?

I'll probably call up Williams Arms before I order anything WSS though... too many bad experiences.

The 1894 Cowboy has a tapered octagon barrel, and I think a blade front sight.

The 1894 C has a shorter round barrel, a hooded front sight, and hold 9 rounds versus 10.

The Cowboy model is upgraded with different buttplate and other details to make it more authentic.

If I was doing it, I would want the Cowboy. Getting one may not be easy.
