where to buy a pistol safe like this in canada?

AMSEC sells several small safes like that which use a mechanical push button locks. See your local locksmiths & safe guys.

If you can get your hands on a good but old safe with a mechincal combination lock (you know where you spin the dial), something like a LaGard 33E electronic combination lock can be put on instead, relatively easy. Also, S&G makes a decent biometric electronic lock...

Sargent & Greenleaf... my nightmare.... I hate them at work, no way I'm getting any in my house :runaway::runaway::runaway:

Their electronic locks are subpar. However, they are your best bet for budget biometrics right now.

S&G is actually a worldclass company. If you're having trouble with an S&G safe lock, vault lock/timelock, padlock or exit device, I can get you the contact info of a rep who knows her stuff, if I can't help you myself.

The ones on my DASCOs are pretty good, it's the 200$ padlocks that are causing nightmare, and they are easy to break

The 8077's... one of these bad boys? Because I know you aren't talking about the 833, those things are close to indestructible.

You must be be in either shipping or the military... That's the only two industries I've ever seen use the 8077's. They are good for their purpose, which is to make any kind of entry obvious. Manipulation resistant, drill resistant hard plate, etc. Do they not stand up to the elements, wear & tear? Or are people breaking them? I don't see many of them.

I saw a similar box at Basspro Shop in Vaughan, Ontario last October. It is not as fancy as the features of the one in the link, but similar.

Would this qualify as a "safe" so you would not have to use a trigger lock?

Personally, my view is that if you have to even ask that question, I would use trigger locks just to be 100% sure. Get the combo ones that are quickly removable. Its better to be safe than sorry :D

But I know a lot of people here don't agree with me. And if they want to try test their theory in court after a burglary, be my guest.

best place to buy gun parts.... E-BAY just make sure you ask if they ship to canada.... ask how much for shipping too.... Ordered many gun parts this way... ALWAYS way cheaper... this go's for safe's presses, grips, barrels, tatical parts, ect, ect

Be careful of what you buy on ebay, some of the stuff you get from down south may be illegal for export (i.e. barrel)
