Tried ordering from Brownells and was informed that my order had been canceled because "the manufacturer is not registered with the Department of State"....which is obviously bullsh*t since they are OEM Sig springs and Sig is most definitely registered with the DoS.

In any event, is there a Canadian source for these springs?

I was told the same thing when I tried to order pins from Brownells. Questar explained the situation in another thread:

The truth is that SIG has a deal with Nicholls and so when SIG made their deal with Brownells (to be a US Parts Distributor for SIG) the deal was domestic only and excludes Brownells from exporting SIG parts. It's just disappointing that Brownells doesn't tell the truth instead of making up BS answers.

FYI Numrich will ship Sig parts to Canada, but you'll have to pay top dollar.

Hey capp325

Got this off the SIG site. Give them a call.

If you are a Canadian resident and looking for a dealer in Canada, please call our authorized Canadian Dealer, FN Sports at 888-442-9215, ext. 2281.

Ha! When I called that number looking for spare Sig parts, the outgoing message said "Hi, you've reached so and so. I'm out of the office this week, and may or may not be in next week".

I had excellent service from FN Sports myself. Regardless, I ordered my last springs from Numrich: e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=1970z226&MC=

Usually if you have to change the recoil spring it could be good to change the roll pins of the slide. These are the usual parts you should change after 5000 rounds, you can probably go up to 10000, it's just a matter of having the kit and the part you could need if need actually comes to change said parts.
