Where to buy a usgi stock for norc m14?

Hi

Just wondering on where does one acquire the usgi stock for the norcs? Im looking for the simple n sleek stock for my norc and usgi seems to fit the bill. Unless there's somewhat cheap alternatives?
Not a huge fan on the archangel stock.

Arent both those company's U.S based? thought the U.S hates having gun material leave their border? thought that included stocks.
 
You're allowed under $500 iirc amongst other restrictions (Barrels, receivers, etc are ITAR controlled). I'm sure someone will correct me on that. Just pay attention to the product page on Treeline and you'll be fine. Some things can't be shipped cross border and they'll specify that. Same goes for Brownell's and Numrich. Don't know any other companies that ship up North.
 
Treeline has one in the special grade section and two in the collector section. If you want a cheaper one just msg him. He will help you out.

Just a word of warning - if you buy from a US person you may have the stock seized at the border by the US authorities. I bought two recently from individuals - one made it no problem the other was seized and the US seller received a very nasty letter full of how he was breaching the law etc etc. Oddly, his only applies to USGI M14 sock not, for example, Brownells M1A stocks.

Others have posted that the US draws a distinction between M14 parts (i.e. full auto capable) and M1A parts (I.e. semi-auto only, civilianized). It may be that the bill-of-lading indicated an M14 stock, hence prohibited for export.
 
Yep, Uncle Sam does think an M-14 is a battle rifle while an M1A is a sporting rifle. He thinks a semi'd M-14 and its receiver is an MG too. M-14 parts are on his restricted for export list. M1A parts are not.
Treeline is violating U.S. law, if they export M-14 stocks. Has nothing to do with the Commerce Department's exporters licence. Several U.S. retailers have been smacked for it. Fred's Stocks and Midway were a couple. Mind you, Treeline's site says no exports.
