You can use a normal wrench you get from Canadian Tire....no need for something special. You can get a combo tool from Marstar with the cleaning kit...but failing that, just use a wrench....
nope- or at least not overly so- it's only the threads on the gasplug that aren't- the fitting for the wrench isn't- anyway, it's a 3/8s or a 10 mm- a 9 wont fit and neither will a 5/16s-i even tried 11/32- even the combo tool that's built for these isn't a real good fit- there's a little slop in it too- about a cleaning patch width- which might be an idea if you want to get a real good puchase on the gas plug- so the actual diameter is somwhere between a 11/32 and a 3/8 or a 9 and 10 mil - i don't have a 9.5 mil wrench to try -i'm talking about a very small bit of slop here- if anything the 10mm was a little more sloppy on the nut than the 3/8
I have the combo tool, but i didnt mean the wrench for the gas plug, I meant the wrench that holds the gas system, that you use to torque the multi tool against when tightening the gas plug.

The gas cylinder plug doesn't require anything near this level of torque in my experience... Snugged hand tight with the combo tool against the barrel splines is plenty.
But if there's something you know that I don't and feel it's still necessary, a strap wrench from Canadian Tire will work 100%. Still wonder why it is needed, perhaps you can enlighten me?
