Hey guys,

I'm in the process of building Myself an AR, and have decided it's going to be either a 7.5" and 10.5" barrel on this one.

I am just curious as to my options on where to purchase barrels of this length, and if anyone has any insight, experience, or tips with barrels that are available.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Cheers

Armtac is bringing in some Noveske barrels this week I believe. Best barrel money can buy. I think I snagged the last 10.5 but he might have some 7.5s left if your quick.

sorry I should have added "or" between SS and chrome lined haha

Deets, did you have to call in to get inventory on the AR barrels from ARMTAC, I can't find anything on their website for just barrels.

I have an S&J and am quite happy with it. Would have liked to pick up another but they are sold out until next year and it appears they are not doing pistol length anymore.

Nea barrels are supposed tobe good. Lots of vendors seem to have the DD barrels which are top notch. Should check with ATRS, One Shot Tactical and Wolverine.

Running a NEA 7.5 with a brownells BCG on my Franken-SBR. Shot Winchester 223, American Eagle 223 and Norc 556 ammo through it and it ate it all up. 62 and 55 grain all ran fine.

All of the above are good sources. ATRS will do 300 Blk barrels as well.

Last time I was in TSE they had NEA 7.5 barrel in stock.

Just go get the Spikes form Fabsports. Fantastic barrel.

It a Lothar Walther for F-Sakes! What do you want??

It is there...right in front of you....

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. And to top it off we now have another thread on the same topic but different length barrel that is also available at Fabsports.

I have the same setup, except I'm running the NEA 18" for a DMR style rifle.... I like it so far, it's really accurate at 200 yrds... (albeit it's probably a whole heck of a lot more accurate than I can shoot)...

It ran everything I put through it so far, except of course when I loaded up with a 77gr it was a little off, just really needed to re-zero it to the heavier round.
