Where To Buy Boyds Stocks and Muzzle Break In Canada

Anybody interested in ordering a Boyd's stock direct may want to do a little google search on the service they have been providing lately, let's just say I have an order in that is now at 13.5 weeks and nothing. Half of emails to them go unanswered and if you phone usually goes to message and call isn't returned, if you do get a response it's always the say about a week or two, but after that it's rinse and repeat the process with zero progress.

Just got one, took 6 weeks to arrive at my door....

$30 duty

Responded to both emails promptly...

Well you were lucky, it was likely in stock and didn't have to be built, I know several others like me that weren't.

Like I said just do a little google search on Boyd's service as of late, just passing the info is all, I've ordered direct twice in the past, once got it 3 weeks second time 2 weeks, also ordered through Jerry and once he put the batch order in it was about 6 weeks to him and then out to me if I remember correct, but as of late lots of people are getting hosed and cancelling orders.

I'm not sure. Waited the 16 days to be allowed for build time. Emailed asking for update, was told another 2-4 weeks for build due to factory closures, holidays, new factory opening. After 2 weeks, received a shipping notification from them and USPS. 2 Weeks for shipping (not sure why it took that long, seemed to sit in ware houses for a long time in the states). Boom at my door all most exactly 6 weeks. For what you get, its not a bad wait.

I ordered a Boyds stock on June 24, 2016. Shortly after that date, during the July 4th week, Boyds was on holidays for a week. My stock was shipped on July 22, 2016 and I received it at my door on July 29th. Having ordered a few stocks, I have found that the ones that are "regular" items are made and shipped quickly. Some of these they have in stock already as they sell a lot of them. The stock that took the longest was a walnut stock; the quickest delivery was the one referred to above, a standard laminate for a relatively popular rifle.

I have a couple stocks "in the Mail". Tracking says they made it to Mississauga on Aug 4th with this for the description "Item has arrived in Canada and was sent for further processing." My first order with Boyd's.

Ordered a stock 3 weeks ago it was here in 2. I phoned to order it was answered after the second ring. I have ordered 4 or 5 stocks now from then and am always happy with what I get and the service is pretty good too.

Ebay has a ton of cheap muzzle brakes if you wish to give them a try. I have one in 1/2 28tpi. Looks neat. Thats all it does.

yep, i put on the take off brake from my CC IUR, did nothing but look cool :) lol went back to the thread protector. Only accessory i'd leave on there is a suppressor :( if only it was legal in canada.

Any cool pic with muzzle brakes on Savage FVSR .
New to this site ,majority of pictures on this site ,can't open ,any type of subscription required or what ..?

I think a lot pics went away when Photobucket changed its policies.

as mentioned, ebay.ca can be a source of brakes, typically shipped from China to Canada.

My new Boyd Stocks are in :dancingbanana:, no issues installing them on my MK II FV & Axis 25-06. Saved a bit of cash by getting 2 at once, shipping for 1 was $68 US for 2 was $76 US. I ordered direct from Boyd's, I got the trigger guard & floor plate for the MK II from Boyd's, the floor plate is on the thin side. Both rifles feel totally different without the plastic :d. Looking forward to the next range session.

Photobucket doesn't allow sharing, unless you pay up. Your pics don't show.
