Where to buy bulk 22lr for spring 2023?

Adamg,
I like S&B Canadian match too. It's about the same overall, as CCI SV for me. In my rifle, it's a bit more consistent for accuracy, and a little less reliable cycling rounds. I use an old Marlin semiauto.

Cheers,

Tesro has them in bricks - 500 pack (I don't see them as a sponsor so I won't hotlink)

Solely has them in cases of 5000: https://www.solelyoutdoors.com/sellier-bellot-canadian-match.html

Marstar has them in cases of 5000: https://marstar.ca/product/sellier-...-lr-40-gr-lrn-rimfire-ammunition-5000-rounds/

Thanks for the Tesro lead, I have emailed them about shipping costs. I don't want to buy 5000 until I know they work for me in at least a couple of my guns. Once I have that sorted, I'll be in on a case.

Cool, once you get some, report back on what gun you fed them through and how you found the performance.

I have run Canadian Match through my CZ, Savage, GSG and Ruger without issues whatsoever. I should have grabbed more when it was on sale a couple of years ago - I personally think it's comparable to SV, and who knows...maybe I'm a sucker for marketing and sales psychology, but I feel good knowing I am running something that has the Canadian flag on the packaging (I felt the same way years ago with some computer toolkits that said "Real Canadian Tools" on the packaging though upon closer inspect it was made in China.

Where in Canada has the best price and/or any bulk 22lr ammo for this spring? Typically my brother and I try and buy 1 golden retreiver hight worth of ammo every spring, but we are striking out for this spring. Preference goes to Federal, Aguila or Winchester ammo, but I'd almost take golden bullets at this point... Or does a guy just suck it up and pay $70+ for 500 rounds and only get half a golden retreiver worth, then at least he
can still shoot a little this sleing?

I remember several years ago the Federal boxes in this photo were going for $199 a case of 10 boxes . Lebaron's which is no more in our area always had some sort of a deal . distant memories . a buddy in Texas sent me a text telling me that the price of ammo in Houston has been going down . what about us ? what about us heard working over taxed peasants to the north ?

Other than Consumers Distributing, Le Baron is one store I will miss for the rest of my life. It is only in retrospect that I realize how good some of the prices were for stuff there for both firearms relating stuff and fishing stuff. My ex bought me $300 worth of Le Baron gift certificates over the years, which I never ended up using and when they were going out of business, I tried to use them but it was by then too late.

The 22LR prices there was fabulous and there was a box or a brick of something .22LR that had that lovely red "SPECIAL" sticker on it with great pricing.

As a for instance, if you kept your eye on their web page then right after Christmas they would have a special price on a 5250 round case of ordinary .22 LR that would be way less than half the going rate now.

One of my earliest purchases was also, in hindsight, one of my best. I bought a Beretta A400 Xcel 32" from Le Barons for $1300. Those guns were selling for like $2500+ within a couple years.
