Where to buy cheap 5.56/.223 ammo?

hey guys,

Since its been 2 years + that there was no update on the thread , would like to re-activate the discussion.

So im looking to bulk some .223 for plinking with my AR. Im reading all i can on TULAAMMO and their bi-metal jacket and steel case. Some guys talk about not shooting it in a Ar for some reasons but some other guys instead talk about that theres no problems to do so.

Today on their website its 379.99 for 1000 rounds with a 10 flat rate shipping. Did not had the chance to see nothing close to this price range. Maybe im not looking at the right place and someone could hand me a good website ? ( just looking for the best bang for the buck without major problems )

Did one of you guys actually tried these rounds in an Ar ?

Best bulk price I've seen is similar ammo to what you found - the "MFS Mil Spec 223 55gr HP, 1000 Rounds", $379.95, but this is 55gr and the shipping is higher... the stuff on the Tula website is a better deal, especially if you prefer the 62gr.

I ran a couple boxes of this ammo through one of my ARs and the 7.62 stuff through my XCR-M a while back, and it all seemed to work fine. Not my first choice for ammo, but for the price...
