where to buy Desert eagle bullets .44 magnum

Hey guys

I wanna start reloading for my favorite pistol. Been reading lots of infos on reloading .44 magnum for Desert Eagle..

What bullets are you guys using? honnestly i dont want to be using copper plated bullets because it wasnt recommended.

Any recommandation beside hornady XTP's?

I used Berry's 240gr over H110 and they worked great. The only bullets I ever read you shouldn't use in the DE are cast as you could end up plugging off the gas port eventually as small amounts of lead could be shaved off each shot. Not sure I believe that would happen but I don't run lead in any high pressure or high velocity pistol loads anyway so I never even considered running cast through it.
I found that my pistol would cycle all but the lightest loads using that powder/bullet combo.

I too run plated through mine with no problems. H-110 or IMR-4227 under plated or jacketed = lots of fun! (H-110 is better for flames )

Agreed, letting friends try it in the evening makes everyone smile when the fireball is really visible.

As mentioned never shoot cast bullets, always jacketed.

I use campro plated bullets as they rate themselves to magnum velocities whereas Berry's recommends a velocity limit of 1250fps for its 44 mag plated bullet. 23 grains of H110 has a velocity of 1413fps. Campro's published load data on its site approves the use of the standard 23-24 h110 load with its bullets

Virtually every bullet company makes jacketed bullets anywhere from 200 gn to 300 gn for the 44. I have used Speer, Sierra, Horn, Barnes and Nosler in my 44s

thats a really good new!!!!! i thought they were limited too!

i didnt seen much jacketed bullets available at good price except nosler. Campro is available no problem.
