where to buy factory savage stocks

Are you sure? It's surprising, given that the MKII is made in Ontario.

Look for the 'direct' phone # to Lakeside factory. I've lot it for now but they've been very helpful several times for me. I got parts for 22s a couple times. The USA phone sometimes has been poor service for Canadians.

Both the Canadian and US ignored my request to exchange a brand new Savage 64 20 round Mag. I won't buy from them again; canadian or not.

Nothing wrong with the factory stock. Mine has landed head shots on many grouse, and put up some decent groupings too. She might not be the prettiest girl on the range, but it doesn't bother me any.
