I’ve been shooting a lot lately, and my supply of .38 SWC 158gr, is getting low.

I usually pick up primers and bullets at gun shows, but I haven’t had to buy any for a few years.

So if I don’t find any at the Salmon Arm Gun Show this weekend, where should I look?

Lead bullets

You can try Doug Green. He is on the island so I don't know what shipping would be. Great guy and great prices.

Comparing cast lead bullet prices, .38 special/.357 magnum certainly has advantages over .44 magnum/.44 Special and .45 Colt.

Still, at $63.00 to $73.00 per 500, plus shipping, bullet casting is a lot cheaper if you can scare up a scrap lead supply.

An inexpensive aluminum Lee mold does a fine job, and besides the mold all that you really need is a cast iron pot, ladle, and camp stove, or a Lee melter.

Sizing isn't necessary and Lee tumble lubing in a saved cottage cheese tub is easy and effective.
