Xman, if you are spending all that gold on the gas system, send it to someone like M14dr, and have him unitize the gas right. There are many ways to do it half a$$, but the ones I have seen from him are well aligned. If you can't find in Canada,
Call Sandy Moranville at Brownells international desk
You can order the standard M1A cylinder but you will also need to get spindle valve/spring/retaining pin , as well as a piston and plug.
Quite reasonable $$wise and much cheaper than a complete usgi assembly
I'll pm you this afternoon. My standard inspection fee is 40.00
Stock fit, bolt timing, gas system inspection, headspace measured, trigger inspected, ect.
Basically a complete once over with written inspection report included
PM me I got an extra one kicking. Also what was the issue with your rifle short stroking? It looks like I won't be needing to replace the Norinco one after all. I got my rifle to work flawlessly again. But I would like to get an new piston that will work with the Norinco gas tube.
Can you guys point me in the right direction to buy one of those?
Thanks
