So Just to be specific are you looking for night sights or night vision? ( one being helmet mounted the other being weapon mounted.)
Wendell is correct you have got no chance getting one out of the states if you contact an outlet and ask for it to be shipped to you. Hell I had difficulty having a new gun belt shipped - honest.
So the best bet is to find someone that will allow you to ship to them in the states and then have them forward it to you under the description of "sporting goods". You will pay tax of course but that is your best option I believe.
You could try a load of places but have a quick look at www.opticplanet.net or www.diamondbacktactical.com depending on what your budget is.
Have fun shopping

If you have found a legitimate dealer in Canada that has a PVS14 for sale, I guess the question is, are you really serious about buying a set, or just talking about it? The PVS14 NV in the US retails for the $3700 neighbourhood with a documented tube of 64-72 lp/mm. Take the money, duties, taxes, etc and add in the problem of the known "difficulties" of getting stuff here in Canada, how much does that make the pvs14 worth? Very close to the price you quoted, and it's here. Do some real research.
Where do you think a Canadian dealer has to go to obtain a pvs14 to have for sale? They are only made in one country.
As already stated, most people in Canada can be well served by obtaining non US NV.
may want to try something in another product lineup say perhap's from http://www.nvoptics.com/ ....
i was looking at getting a tim-14 thermal monocular.... they are weapon mountable, i dident contact them to see if they wanted a EUC to purchase one but should have....
I've contacted quite a few dealers in the US and they either nevered replied or told me they don't ship to Canada. Some suggested I get one shipped to someone I know in the US and then arrange something from there. Well I don't have any friends down there. Too bad. If I lived close to the border I would just go over and get a PO box and get it shipped there.
So far I found one place that carries the PVS-14 but they want $5000 for it! Uh uh. In the meantime I'll keep looking.
OK, (and I can't believe this must be said) you personally have experience how hard it is to get a quality piece of night vision here in Canada.
If there is one here in Canada, how much then is that night vision worth? Should they sell it to you in Canada, for retail cost in the US? Or should they recoup their time, effort, legal costs, and money that it really cost to have a legitimate piece of quality equipment purchased in the US, and then properly brought into Canada to sell on the open market.
Jeebers, think about this for a minute... Or less, it doesn't take that much thought to figure this out. IT COSTS MONEY TO BRING THIS STUFF IN!
If you're that serious about buying US night vision equipment then go to gunbroker.com, they have a link you can follow of US importing companies that will import firearms, scopes etc... for you for a fee of course. There is one store in Michigan that I have contacted. He charges $200 US to import a rifle like the SA M1a for example, same thing also for something like a Leupold scope. He handles all paperwork for US DOS/Commerce.
What's the name of the Michigan store you are referring to? I'll have a look.
First off, it's talked down to.First off, thanks for the condascending manner in which you like to speak to me. I really appreciate being talked down at!
I am suggesting that the price that is being asked is reasonable considering the very special item you are looking for. You suggested in your second post on this matter that $5000 was out of line and/or rediculous. It isn't. And therefore it is indicitive of the amount of research done.Anyway, when it comes to acquiring a PVS-14 in Canada, I'd rather shop around first and see what I can find before commiting to a purchase. Just finding anyone who sells quality NV gear is a challenge. Being a devil's advocate, you suggest I bite the bullet and pay what the vendor says.
Here you are saying one dealer wanted $5000 and don't say how much the other dealer wanted. So we can assume from that the second guy either, A. wouldn't sell to you, B. was asking an even higher price than the first guy. This shows that it is even more difficult than what I was describing.Well if I don't think it's a good deal then I have the choice not to buy. So far I've found two dealers with PVS-14s. The one dealer wanted $5000 for an item that didn't even come with a head or helmet mount. You just got a lense cap! I understand there being a mark up for what is needed to get a night vision device into Canada but to charge double what it costs in the US seems rather expensive. In the meantime I'll keep looking and see if there is a better alternative since I'm not in a hurry
Again this is rediculous to suggest, that because you are willing to commit a criminal act, the dealers of this country shouldn't be supported for doing things properly. Shame on you.If I lived close to the border I would just go over and get a PO box and get it shipped there.
Talk about a load of horsecrap.

We see a lot of posts, and saw them more so when the EE was open for others to post, of people making comments like "I want to buy the Accuracy International 338 Lapua Magnum, but I'm only willing to pay $400"
That shows the amount of seriousness they are really wanting said item, and therefore they are wasting space with what they post.

You then, in one post, try to say that it should be cheaper because you could smuggle it out of the United States and therefore save yourself some money.
Again this is rediculous to suggest, that because you are willing to commit a criminal act, the dealers of this country shouldn't be supported for doing things properly. Shame on you.
I can appreciate that someone is not willing or able to pay for quality goods. That is your choice. But to try to come on here with some disdain for dealers who charge an appropriate amount for goods that are extremely hard to obtain in our country is a bit condescending yourself.
