Here you go; http://www.thehockshop.net/ bear in mind I haven't asked him about night vision.
Actually I was.

Here's some export info http://www.nvisionoptics.com/export_information/
If you're that serious about buying US night vision equipment then go to gunbroker.com, they have a link you can follow of US importing companies that will import firearms, scopes etc... for you for a fee of course.
I forgot, this is the new day and age with the younger crowd that are very worried about your "self esteem" rather than the facts.Well you sure aren't talking TO me. You've been talking AT me ever since you responded to my question. When you give people attitude you will get it right back. I don't even talk to new privates in my battalion that way!
Your deal with the first actual PVS14 didn't include a $50 helmet mount, and that's what killed it? HmmmmmmYou assume a lot when you state that a dealer wouldn't sell to me. I haven't made a decision or any offers yet as to which dealer (or private owner) I want to buy from because I haven't finished researching yet. And no, I don't have any disdain for the dealers out there. I just felt that for $5000 I should at least get a helmet mount. Other dealers out there have been very helpful and suggested other devices that are similar so I've been taking those into consideration as well. BTW the second dealer only had a second generation 6015 model PVS-14. It was less than the other one and came with a few useful accessories but wasn't really what I was looking for.
Sorry, it doesn't matter about your reasons, we on this board do not discuss breaking the law. Take this as a final warning on that issue, I hope and believe that it will not be an issue in the future. When it comes to getting myself a piece of equipment that could save my life, by any means necessary, I feel NO shame. What is shameful is the fact that I was issued an MNVG in Afghanistan that was not working properly and had bad image quality (I think the previous user used a solvent to clean it). I couldn't get it exchanged because there were no more with our company quartermaster. It's very likely that I'll be going back in the next year or so and I can only imagine what shape the equipment will be in when I get there after being passed from one roto to the next. By obtaining my own kit I'll be sure not to get another MNVG with a scratched lens, a defective image tube, and a torn eyepiece (try driving a G-wagen in blackout with a defective MNVG in this condition). To go over the border and bring one back myself is only a last resort option. If I have to side step the rules to ensure I get the best gear out there to fight a war for my country then so be it.

There ya go, smiley face.

And the 6015 is not second generation. It is 3rd gen, but may have lower quality image tube. So again, we must compare apples to apples. So far you have found only one supplier that actually has a PVS14 for sale.

Yes, now who is assuming things. Yup, I'm a dik. But then Cupcake, you got to harden up. The sensitivity meter, is set a little low I think, especially if you too are going to point fingers. Ya, enough said.I'm not sure I can be considered "younger generation" but no one appreciates being treated like they are inferior by another. If you were out in the real world and not behind your keyboard with the title "super moderator" would you talk down to someone? Especially someone you don't know? Probably not. Enough said on that. Let me explain things a bit better so you'll understand and maybe stop busting my b**ls over things that you are making assumptions about.
The first dealer included nothing with the $5000 PVS-14. No accessories at all. He offered them as an extra purchase and asked $199 for the helmet mount. I didn't really like that deal so I passed on it. The Gen 2 item was the same as this one:
http://www.opticsplanet.net/atn-6015-hpt-night-monocular.html
It was a Gen2+ not a Gen 3 so you are right, it was not a true PVS-14. It was only based on the PVS-14. It was a decent price and came with some accessories I liked. But it wasn't what I wanted specifically so I passed on that one too.
Now, after a tip from another member on here I checked out a site with a pretty good selection of shooting gear, accessories, and optics and is located in Canada. There is a PVS-14 there for $5300. Comes with head and helmet mounts, sacrificial window, eye piece, carrying bag, and demist shield. A weapon mount is optional at an affordable price as well. Now that is more like it! So I'm waiting for an email back to see if they still have it for sale. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.
