Where to buy Norinco standard (non-ambi) thumb safety in Canada?

I am looking for a Norinco, non-ambi thumb safety, but I see that Marstar is all sold out of them. Anyone know where else I can find one of these for cheap, without having to order from the states?

I posted a WTB in the Parts EE Forum, as I would imagine there are a ton of Norc take-off safeties from people switching to ambi, but I never have much luck looking for parts in the EE.

I figure sticking with Norc parts will more likely be a drop in fit, and the brand name stuff will be more expensive. Also as far as I have heard the Norc parts are all forged right? Or is it just the frame and slide that are forged?

Thanks!

You should be able to trade someone straight up for a single sided safety. I like ambi much better, but already have them on my ARs, or else I'd trade you! :)

You shouldn't 'need' to stick with a Norinco one. In fact, I'd be willing to guess your chances of finding a Norinco single sided safety are approaching zero.

Thanks guys. One last question. The ledge for your thumb on the Norinco thumb safety is totally straight from end to end, but I see that some brands like Fusion, put a tiny bit of a bend in the middle of the thumb ledge.

Like this...

Do these two styles feel very different? Anyone have a preference over the other or feel there is an advantage or disadvantage to either?

Thanks!
