Good Evening,

Can anyone suggest places to purchase plated .40SW bullets? 170 - 180gr. Not looking for expensive FMJ stuff, economic plated bullets for practice.

On a side note, how are people shipping bullets these days? CanadaPost is killer for heavy packages.

Thanks!!
Jeff

Pony Express? Might be cheaper with the gas prices these days!

Where are you located? There are a few suppliers in Ontario. I'd like to get some shipped out west to BC but paid through the nose last time by Canada Post from Marstar.

If you are in the East, Marstar. If you are in the West, MilArm.

They sell Frontier plated bullets.

Due to the weight the tend to be shipped by CanPar/FedEx.

Canada Post are a problem with weights over 50lbs.

It would help to know generally where you are located.

Depending on where you are, it might be cheaper to pick up bulk FMJ locally rather than shipping plated across the country.

Some clubs/groups also do bulk buys and ship by freight.

Wolf ship by Canpar. Not cheap..$60 for 3000/45 ACP bullets.
Note that Wolf sell Montana Gold bullet, more expensive than Frontier but a notch above Frontier in quality.

If you go to the canadianbdx website they have a link to Canada Post where you can calculate shipping. Personally I just bought 2K of 40 Frontier 180gr from Higginsons and the shipping (in Ontario) was around $20.00. TC
