Where to buy Rem 700 recoil lug alignment jig

I'll give you a tip..

Oil both sides of the lug where it contact the barrel and the action and the face of the action.

Place a very thin small amount of 120 grit abrasive on the face of the action. Very thin and not much.

Screw the action onto the barrel by hand.

As it snugs up line the lug up level with a scope base on the front ring.

Tighten it some more and it should stay level... or slightly loosen and adjust.

I use an alignment jig for the various styles of lugs but I still use the abrasive to help anchor the lug with the action.... otherwise the lug still wants to torque around. I damaged one aluminum jig discovering that. The abrasive may affect your headspace by about a thou, depending on how tight you torque the barrel. I figure that in my calculations as I am fitting the barrel.
