Where to buy? romanian PSL-54

Hi, i would like to buy a romanian PSL-54 (7.62x54)... I've seen them on many (us) sites selling around 600-900$ with scope and all accessories but not on any canadian sites... Anyone know where i could find one? Thank you very much

I believe dragunov's and their variants are prohibited (and why you are not seeing them for sale.

**edit** on second thought, the PSL looks ALOT like a drgunov, but apparently it isn't one, and no parts are interchangeable, so I am not sure if it is, or isn't considered a variant) **edit**

If it looks remotely like a variant, the FRT lab will class it as one, and prohib.

Have you pledged a donation to the Henderson "variant" case? If it stands, you might just be able to get that PSL-54.

They are classed as a variant by the rcmp or just because they look alike? because the mechanism is mainly different from the svd-dragunov (more like an AK)... do you know they are prohibited as a fact? (if yes where did you seen it) Thank you

(also, if anyone would know of a rifle that does look like an svd-dragunov/psl-54 LEGAL in canada, would like to know )

PSL is actually a variant, while Dragunov is not... However, Drugunov is on the list by name...

Beautiful rifles, I just bought an original SVD, Tiger furniture set and a POSP 8 x 42 and intend of converting one of my SVT-40 into a look alike. Nice winter project.

THe mechanism is very different between the SVDs and the Romaks, but they are 12(5). I've got one sitting in my cabinet next to several other prohibs that don't make sense

I'm still surprised theat the Feds didn't have a court challenge on the issue of not getting ATT's approved for prohibs. Or have they? I don't have a dog in that fight so I'm not up to speed on that issue.

get some SVT-40 and make look alike out of them like I will. May cost you more but at least you can shoot them.

Even the SKS are great as the AK-47 furniture is so cheap.

I' thinking of maybe getting a cz-858 and making a svd clone (have seen a howto thread here on cgn) look good but don't know if i wouldn't be better just getting a precision rifle with posp scope....
