Where to buy Shiloh rifle in Canada ?

I think I already mentioned that I currently shoot a 38-56 with a fast twist barrel that allows me to use 300 grain slugs. Also a 44-77 which I am optimistic about working a load up for

I was use .50-140 sharps . For couple year . Recoil manegable and very fun to shoot . Shoot about 1000 rds throw this baby

On about the basic setup can be made say 45-70, nothing fancy, all "stock", decent wood....
Friend at the club had just purchased one....next year he'll get it... so.... itll be about a year at the least.
 
I havent been to Shilo/Big timber for 10 yrs or so so things may have changed, but they used to have a display wall of all models-grades that were buyable onsite and also had a rack for rifles ordered-deposits paid and then when the rifles were built the orderer couldn't complete the transactions so these rifles could be instantly purchased onsite (no discount because of the initial down payment had been paid--that was theirs!!)....
A day trip is easily do-able from Calgary area.

I should add that A Canadian can purchase at the counter same as an American but you still need to go thru the border importing rigmarole of using importers and firearmes dealers that will add weeks to you getting your gun.
 
Took a little side trip to Big Timber yesterday.
Checked out both C Sharps and Shiloh and both have very few ‘rack’ firearms for sale, in fact Shiloh didn’t have any and the common denominator for both was they can’t find employees, hence the 18-22mth wait.

I've always enjoyed stopping in at Shiloh on my way to or back from the American matches. Even a few years back, whenever there were rifles on the rack for sale, they'd be gone in a couple of days. When Bill Goodman was selling Shiloh rifles that was a good way to get around the long wait.

I've waited a very long time for some of mine. The quickest was a 14 lb bull barrel 45-110 which only took a few months because I placed the order as soon as they announced the bull barrel run. The longest was probably my 16 lb 45-100 which I think was 4 years. I placed it after scoring for Jimbo Terry at one of the Byers Money Matches and when I saw how well Jimbo's rifle shot I had to order one on the way home. It was all I could think of on my drive back from Colorado :). Lucinda told me when I placed the rifle that I wouldn't see it for a very long time. It was worth the wait. It's fantastically accurate.
