hi guys.
could you share the address or website of a company near Toronto that sells Russian military SKS with natural wood not laminated?
the reason why i ask near Toronto is because i would like to see before i buy - would not be happy to wait for it shipping for long and getting a Chinese version.

only companies i found were from bc.

and also i would love to find a TT also Russian one.

this are going to be my first guns:)

thanks in advance

Companies that advertise SKS will tell you if its Russian or Chinese... so no need to worry there. But checking them out before you buy is also good too.

Tons of stores in your area; Canadian Tires will have some almost guaranteed (just check to make sure they sell firearms, as most of them have different policies).

Another in the area is Al Flaherty's, Bass Pro, or Lebarons. Try calling around before you go to ensure they have stock.

hey thank for the reply. i never seen canadian-tire to sell guns except air ones. at basspro they had it when i was not ready to buy... now when i go they dont have. the other two i will check, never herd of them. thank you

koesdibyo sorry for lying, i actually been once few years ago at lebarone but totally forgot about them.

Noltz thanks. Today i found out that there are more gunshops than just basspro.

I will probably go to Al flaherty's to buy one if they have them and until they are still available in Canada.

thank you very much guys

No problem :) Good to see another home for an SKS.

If you dont have any up that way, I know the Barrie Canadian Tire (off Bayfield) has them, and the Orillia CT as well.

If you hit Fishing World and they don't have what you want, The Canadian Tire in Welland, and the one on Montrose in Niagara Falls have SKS's for (I think) $209. And if you call first, Lanz in Smithville may have some SKS's in stock.

Are you sure Orillia sells firearms? I was there a few weeks ago and thy only had airguns. If so, I know my first stop next visit.

I got an SKS from Al Flaherty's about 2 weeks ago. By the sounds of it I thnk they are getting low on them, one guy said they were out, one of the owners said he thinks there were some, luckily they found one. Great guys to deal with.

I bought my first SKS about 3-4 years ago, the ones I saw when I purchased my last one were no where near as good condition as my first. I went to Lebaron, first one wasn't too bad, but the sales person had a hard time pulling the bolt back, asked to see a second one and the numbers didn't match. I can understand the magazine not matching, but this one had a few numbers on it. Knowing Lebaron's record of "Friendly" service I choose to walk out rather than ask to see a third, how much can you bust their balls for a sub$200 gun? That is what brought me to Flaherty's, which is about 5 minmutes from my house, should have just gone there first.

Hey guys! Thanks a lot for so many shops. As I said, I thought before that the only gun shop near me is BassPro. I Read all your comments and checked all the shops and made a stop on Al Flaherty's shop. Gave them a call and they do have in stock a few. So on the weekend if I am not working I'm going to go buy one.

Now I have a second question - could you guys tell on what to look when buying one?

Thank you very much to all of you :)

hey everyone! Thank you very much for your help. Today I went with my father and brother and we finally got SKS!

Thank you koesdibyo! We went to AlFlaherty's! Very friendly customer-helper/seller helped us.

Now it's time to go to a range.

Thank you again everyone!
