Wholesalesports used to have them on their website. Now it's not.

Can anyone tell me who carries these fine rifles? Been wanting to get one for a long time.

Thanks.

Cabellas had them on sale as they were a discontinued item. Not sure if they have stock anymore. I suspect TC has discontinued them.

That was last fall. The price spiked by a hundred and something back a couple of years ago, just as I was about to buy one. The sale price just put it back down to what it was in say 2009. No firesale. Probably some good used one's kicking around. Not sure how the lifetime warranty works if you are not the original owner. Would be good to get the details on before buying used.

Not seeing anything on EE, looks like whoever's got 'em is keepin' 'em...

Who else makes a semi 22lr with steel receiver (other than the browning, plz, I find them ugly as sin, the proportion is all wrong...?) Anyone?

I bought the last one available from Wholesale Sports about two months ago. It is the R-55 All-Weather version.

I also bought the last two R-55 Benchmarks available. They are fantastic little rimfire rifles. Very accurate and extremely well built.

They come up occasionally on EE but make sure that they are the "R-55" edition as the older T/C Classics are prone to chamber chipping.

Good luck.

Gee thanks, sure know how to make a fellow shooter feel good.

If you ever wanna sell one of these, you let me know.

Not intending to part with any of my R-55s. Might even ask to be buried with mine. :D It is the plinker of choice for me and my two boys, so with each of us having one, it keeps the fights down to a minimum.

Try to be patient as it would be worth the wait to own one. There are not many all-steel semi-auto rimfire rifles out there that are as reliable and accurate as the R-55. I have a few Annies including a couple of 54.18 MSRs and a 2013 BR-50 and I can tell you that the R-55 is no slouch in the accuracy department against these far more expensive rifles.

Don't know why the T/C R-55 didn't sell better given its performance and cheap price? It's truly a shame that T/C discontinued these fine rimfires.

IRC Remington purchased TC.

Possibly they felt their 547 was good enough & didn't want the R55 competing with their rifle.

I have one and married it with a Leupold rimfire 4X,
its a marriage made in heaven,

If you can find one, get it!!!!
its worth every Penny!

Cabelas and Wholesale both list the "plain" R55. If you can find a Benchmark they are awesome. Accurate, reliable, well made. You'll need to spend several times more to find a semi that's more accurate. Mine goes with me every time.

I got mine from Cabela's Canada this spring it was on sale , might have been the last one they had. I put a Weaver 36X on it ..great gun , if you find one ..buy it
