Where to buy TONS of .22lr

holy geez...in post number 11 on this thread, fatbastard said he was getting 5000 for 149 bucks. i think you're getting hosed dude.

If the $150 ammo shot as well as the $410 ammo in my target rifles, I would indeed be getting hosed......the SC is target ammo, its not really a fair comparison. But NS is the importer for lots of different rounds.

Are you referring to the Lapua ammo?

Yep. Super Club is the one round that consistently outperforms in my R55, Cz452 and custom 10/22 with Clark barrel.

Gasp. You could always buy more than one brick at a time :)

silly rabbit....

And what do you think those bricks come in when they're shipped to a dealer? (Think cardboard boxes here. What's the word??? Oh yeah! CASES!):D:D
Talk to a manager and make him an offer he doesn't understand, Jethro Bodine style. (Nought X nought, carry the nought = "Nope, too much. You gotta come down in price."):D

X2 for Reliable.

I buy min. 5000 when I purchase .22lr.

Last buy was 10k

Ya save $ and frankley I like to have a bunch on hand

Seriously off topic, but providing the zombies aren't of the 28-days later variety, 22LR should be plenty sufficient for causing brain trauma to a mushy skull :D

Back on topic, I'd like to find some places in Southern (South-Western) Ontario also who sell large volumes of 22LR ammo.

Oh fur sure.......a .22LR will kill just as easily as a big bore gun.
One wil do it in 100 yards, the other in 600 yards, its relavant

You are right about the Superclub ammo. I have purchased 3 or 4 cases from North Sylva, and have always been pleased with their service. For those who think 410.00 afor 5000 rounds is expensive, you obviously have not bought any high priced 22 ammo. Eley Ultimate EPS will run you about $1400.00 per 5000, as will RWS R50 or Lapua Midas M/L. That is expensive ammo, but if you are a serious bench 22 shooter, and have a rifle that will exploit the potential of those types of ammo, then they do make the difference. For those shooting 10/22's and other rifles that are decent but not spectacular, this is a waste of money. You would be unable, in most cases, to tell the difference between $400.00 and $1400.00 per 5000 ammo. I own at least 4 rimfires that will show the difference, and when you are trying to eke out that last .010" at 50 or 100 meters, it is the ammo that makes the difference.

So i'm guessing those who can afford target ammo use it for competitions only. It would seem silly to spend so much more for plinking and squirrels. 50-100yard shots on squirrels with walmart ammo seems accurate enough to me. That Dynapoint stuff is awesome.

why is everyone killing squirrels, what are they doing to you? stealing your nutz?

In my case, I have a cottage infestation of them. I tried being nice to them last year and went with live traps to remove them, but they just ate the bait and laughed at me.
It's also freaking my wife and kids out when they hear them running across the rafters in the middle of the night.
This year it's magnums and hollow points.......:sniper:
