Any Sako dealer can order one in for you from Stoeger, its just a matter of time. Your Rockchucker will be fine, I use an RCBS partner press and it will do till I get a bigger press.

Lastly there are many bullets that work in this rifle, The most accurate load I have found in mine aside from Lapua Scenars is with the Sierra Gameking which is giving me about a 5/8" group at 300m. Super accurate and cheap to shoot at $22 for 50.

You may want to do a search on .338 Lapua loads, you should be able to find some good ones, If not PM me and I'll get you some.

What does a Trg-42 cost? A friend of mine has a Sako Trg-s action trued, badger recoil lug, 30" straight taper Lilja barrel, Near 50 cal muzzle brake, Near base, 50 max Badger rings, NFX 5.5-22X56 scope, TRG-42 trigger, in a A-2 sniper filled McMillan stock. He wants $6000.00 for the package.

From what I last recall $4500ish range. That sounds like a nice rifle your friend has. Keep in mind the true TRG has a significantly stiffer receiver as opposed to the M995 or TRG-S (sporter configuration).

Why is he getting rid of it, just curious.

We bought 2 from The Shooting Edge a couple of years ago. Great guys to deal with and highly recommended

The Rock Chucker will be fine .

As far as big game bullets go I have tried the 225gr Nosler Accubonds and the 210Gr Swift Scirocco

Yet to recover one so can't tell you how well they held together .

P and D Enterprises has one in stock for sure that I know of and The Shooting Edge in Calgary also has them in stock. Cost I am not sure of but a quick phone call will sort that out.

Thats cool! I remember this post from Four years ago. I had a diferent user name then (John68) not that anyone would remember, but I forgot my password and never could get logged back on with it when they upgraded the server.

Nice to see people are still willing to answer a four year old question.:D I wonder if Sendaro ever bought the TRG42. There's even a reply from ##### in there, Ah, Good Times.:p

I like the fact that we all just pick up where we left off. Damned near like a reunion post!

I should dig up some other old gooders.
