Just purchased a S&W 460v revolver, now just need to find some ammo to feed it. Anyone know where to find 460 magnum ammo for this bad boy? Searched 3 years back on the forums and couldn't find anything.

Thanks :)

I haven't had too much problem getting ammo for mine. Someone always seems to have the 200gr Hornady FTX kicking around. Occasionally I'll find the high end Winchester stuff, but I've been using mostly the Hornady.

Should be able to get something through the forum dealers. Send me a message if you aren't getting any rhythm.

Get into reloading for it quickly. You'll cut down your cost from up around $3 a round to about 35 to 40 cents. Maybe as much as 60 cents if you want some oddball special bullets instead of the more mainstream options. With this sort of savings it doesn't take long at all to make up for the cost of the reloading gear.

my dad shoots one of those monsters.
he got his gun and gets his ammo from shooters choice (roger) just outside of calgary.
i believe he carries stock and gets in whatever you want if he dosnt have it.
if ya google shooters choice calgary youll find his website.

thanks for the support guys!! i'll try sfrc now. I checked shooters choice but don't see any ammo on his website, I'll email him.

I think I'll definitely be doing that for sure, what is the ammo price now for it? something like $3.50 a round?

Best advice ever. Purchasing my S&W 500 magnum was what got me started in reloading.

great, thank you :) will be going by today.

The guy on the phone said they only had 12 boxes, but i got a pm from the guy in this thread that said, the staff forgets to look in the back sometimes, and that they had 200 boxes. So hopefully the guy in this thread is right lol.
