Oh! Marstar used to sell Norinco mag but seems it changed. There are lesser american mags. I'd get one from Springfield armory, from Brownells, Wolverine or another sponsor.
Brownells used to have a 100$ limit per order for all mag and gun parts. I meant SAI mag from a dealer but now you make me think SAI webstore applied that same 100$ limit on the export of mags and parts.
Marstar should have them, but I think you'll find they're a pain in the ass to deal with. They're hard to get out of the gun, and tricky to insert. The only good part is that you can take the follower out of the 5 rounder easily, just make sure you don't put it in your 20 round mag by accident because then you'll have a standard cap magazine capable of firing 20 rounds. You can get charged with a sentence bigger than for dealing meth, and all you did was clean your mag
Out of curiosity, why would you not want to hunt with the 20/5 mag? They are easier to remove and provide an extra spot to grip the rifle. Also, they look badass
I have a springfield m1a standard. I find that the 5 round mags function well but they are bloody hell to remove....i only use the 10 and 20 round mags just for that reason alone
I met a guy at one of Hungry's clinics who had riveted a loop of metal (computer cabling guides) to the bottom of the 5 rounders. Being able to get a grip on the loop made a huge difference in removing the mag.
I find that the 5-5 mags aren't all that hard to get out, and I can see wanting one for hunting. Since you can top-load the mags in the gun anyway I don't think it's an issue.
Be sure to check that your 5-round mag holds _only_ 5 rounds...they may need a little tweaking.
